I have recently played Beyond Good and Evil

After all the talk of Darks Souls I've jumped back into Dark Souls 3 to play the two expansions. Enjoying it so far and I haven't died so far which is always good.

@JohnnyShoulder This may be a dumb question, so forgive my ignorance, but do the Dark Souls games relate to one another in any way except gameplay? Like story, characters, settings, locations? More simply put, could I start with Dark Souls 3, having not played the first 2? I get the impression that they are each independent from one another, but I also fear that the combat style and way you approach the game is something you learn through playing the first entry so if I jump into it at #3 then I’ll just be lost of how to play these brutal games. I’m considering playing one of these this year and I think I’ll start with Bloodborne since it’s separate and more highly regarded. I’ll be frank, I did play some of DS1 and enjoyed it for the most part but after a couple hours I abandoned it for other endeavors. It got a little complicated and I just didn’t have the patience at the time.

@Th3solution there are some connections between the games, especially with 1 and 3. I don't think it will lessen the experience too much as i wasn't that hot on the story and lore when i played it and most things probs went over head unitl i read up about em.
In terms of gameplay, Dark Souls 3 is probs the more accessible of the games but i found Bloodborne a tad easier. I pretty much went through the whole game solo, but with DS3 i buddied up on a few of the bosses.

As of late, Final Fantasy IX and Injustice 2.

@YeYa @Doctor_BK I think I'm the only person whose favourite TT game is Game Of Thrones. People look at me like I'm crazy when I say it though... I just really liked the characters and thought the pacing was spot-on. Walking Dead S1 and Borderlands run it very close though, of course.

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

I'm about 15 hours into Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and am loving it! I played a bit of it when it first released on PS4 but I must've not paid too much attention to the tutorial because I kept dying repeatedly once the game really started. It turned me off of the game at the time but I decided to give it another go. Now I'm here at work on Monday wishing I was in Mordor instead. Can't wait to get back home to play some more!

@YeYa Yeah, I thought that was a cool aspect because it made it really feel like Game of Thrones!

@Gremio108 It's definitely underrated! I'd put at like fifth in my list behind TWD, Borderlands, Batman, and The Wolf Among Us, but I liked it better than Guardians, TWD season 2 and 3, and Minecraft. I hope it gets a season 2.

@SilentJ I loved Shadow of Mordor, and look forward to Shadow of War if you haven't played it yet. It's a better game in every way, and has a fun and rewarding endgame if you don't feel like putting the controller down after you beat the campaign.

Just playing through Borderlands 2 after picking up the Handsome Collection in the January sale. I enjoyed the original Borderlands on PS3, but never picked up 2. Having a blast.

At the behest of @kyleforrester87 and @themcnoisy I’ve been mixing in some time with Fez. During my first play session with it I was not terribly impressed. Not a horrible game, but just didn’t seem my cup o’ tea. It was a little cryptic in what the point of the game is too. But I went back to it last night and I actually enjoyed it a little more the second time. The shifting perspective thing takes a little getting used to. I’m still only a couple hours in, I have 5 cubes completed I think, so I’ll give it some more time to see if I want to go for completing it all (32 cubes I think it says in the trophy list 😪)

I will have a lot of work this month so I won't have a lot of time for W3, but I will try my best.

@Gremio108 you could be right. I dont watch GoT so it was a nice intro to the series. Pretty brutal at times.

Tonight Im playing more GT Sport and attempting a more difficult playthrough on gundam vs.

Tomorrow the psvr is coming back out and Im having a blast on Arkham vr and Destruction ball.

@Th3solution Once you've got all 32 cubes you can then go for the (much) more difficult 32 anti-cubes. If you don't like it after a few hours maybe it's not for you, I was immediately a massive fan of the ambience and overall mood. It does help if you enjoy ambient electronic music

The game is about lost civilisations, alien races and evolution (think 2001 space odyssey), with lots of visual clues built into the environments that you should keep an eye out for.

@Th3solution Thats surprising. I thought fez was the universal gamers game. Its fun, engaging, short and surprising. I was almost at 100% completion and had to briefly use a guide towards the backend of the game when it became too cryptic.

I'll never get the love for Fez. I thought it was insanely dull.

Glad people are enjoying it, though.

@kyleforrester87 Yeah, the music and graphical presentation are an interesting meld of retro with current gen. It’s definitely unique. I have that little subtle itch to play it the more I think about it, so maybe that’s a sign that it’s getting its hooks in me.

@themcnoisy I think I’ve been spoiled by games being more directly tutorial about what to do and what the objectives are and where to go, so it has taken me a bit to get into it. I think I’m getting the hang of it now. It has been a good mix up between free roaming open world games. I’ll keep you all posted.
