What's the Jukebox puzzle solution in Neely's Bar in Silent Hill 2? The first proper puzzle of the game, you shall find it in Neely's Bar in South Vale. In this Silent Hill 2 guide, we're going to reveal the Jukebox puzzle solution in Neely's Bar.
What's the Jukebox Puzzle Solution in Neely's Bar in Silent Hill 2?
Having encountered your first enemy in South Vale and made it back outside, a Matchbook next to a corpse will nudge you in the direction of Neely's Bar. Once there, you'll find a Jukebox to be the location's centrepiece, and it forms the basis of a puzzle. Interacting with the Jukebox reveals its components, and you'll also get one half of a Broken Vinyl Record. You can learn more about what items you need to solve the Jukebox puzzle by reading the Memo called Neely's Bar Note on the counter. It points you in the direction of Groovy Music to the north and Saul Street Apartments in the soutwest, both of which are now circled on your map. We'll start by heading to the latter.
Jukebox Puzzle: Where to Find the Jukebox Button
Head southwest out of Neely's Bar to find Saul Street Apartments on the suitably named Saul Street. You can enter via the red front door next to the "16" number, and inside, just past the office, you'll notice a map you can observe. Neely's Bar Note told us we need to get into Apartment 9 which is on 3F. Down the hallway opposite the map is a room you can enter on the left, with a Syringe and a receipt inside. Return to the map and push the cupboard blocking your path to the left. This allows entry into the office, where you'll find an Apartment Key and a Small Note, which is a Memo. It speaks of a leak in Apartment 5, which is where the key we just picked up is for.
Leave the office and go upstairs to 2F and head right. Just before Apartment 7 is a crawlspace on the ground you can use, with another Memo on the desk by the open window. This one is a Tenant's Note detailing something coming from another apartment in the building. Leave and head for Apartment 5, using the Apartment Key to enter.
When you squeeze through the gap in the wall, James will hear banging coming from upstairs. Squeeze through the second gap in the wall, then climb out of the window onto the emergency exit staircase and head up. Climb through the window and search the bathroom opposite. You'll find a hole in the wall, which James can stick his hand into. You have the option to dip deeper into the hole 3 times, and you need to do so every time. At the very end, you'll find the Jukebox Button. You can now leave Saul Street Apartments via the open rooftop to your left and taking the ladder back down to street level.
When you're back out on the street, you can acquire more Memos on Saul Street, around the yard with the campervan: an Old Map, 3 Saul Street Notes, and the Motor Home Note. Now you can head to Groovy Music.
Jukebox Puzzle: Where to Find Glue and Broken Vinyl Record
Having acquired the Jukebox Button, head north up Neely Street until you come to Groovy Music on your left. Enter and deal with the two enemies inside. Once they're dead, grab the Memo off the counter called Record Store Note. The rest of the room might look empty, but you can actually smash the glass along the back wall and gain access to another room. On the table in the middle, you'll find Vinyl Glue and the other half of the Broken Vinyl Record. Now you have all 3 required items for the Jukebox puzzle, open your inventory and highlight Key Items. Combine the two halves of the Broken Vinyl Record with the Vinyl Glue to get the Glued Up Vinyl Record.
Jukebox Puzzle: Where to Find Neely's Bar Coin
The final item we need for this puzzle is at the Texan Cafe, which is on the eastern end of Katz Street. Once inside, grab the Health Drink from the fridge behind the bar and then interact with the cash register. Turn the key and then press the button at the bottom to get the Neely's Bar Coin. You'll be immediately ambushed by an enemy after doing so. Once it's dead, return to Neely's Bar with all the items you need to solve the puzzle.
Jukebox Puzzle Final Solution
When you're back at Neely's Bar with the Glued Up Vinyl Record, interact with the Jukebox. Begin by lowering the blue cog so the connected green and red cogs can extend and accept the Glued Up Vinyl Record. You've done the right thing when you're prompted to open your inventory with a piece of the machinery sticking out.
At this point, the stack of vinyls will be raised into the top section of the Jukebox. Select the missing numbered button and insert the Jukebox Button there. Then, insert Neely's Bar Coin into the flashing coin slot on the right.
You now need to select the blue button C on the top layer of buttons, and then 2 on the bottom layer. This will make the vinyl you've put back together play, and reward you with Neely's Bar Key. This brings the Jukebox puzzle to a close.
