@JohnnyShoulder lol

Admittedly, quite a lot of that list IS reasonable.

My PS5 crashed this morning. Just straight up shut itself off with no warning or anything and then wouldn't start up again

It was all fine after a little unplug but it gave me some motivation to make sure my saves are backed up and I also gave it a bit of a dust down as well. Those covers are a bit of awkward to take off, but it's kinda neat that we can get inside the console a bit

@Ralizah Sure on their own or a few of them. The point was, some people seem to want it all without knowing (or caring) about the repercussions.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

Bit of advice needed, would you buy robocop or the expanse? I usually buy physical only but won 20 quid credit and they seem the 2 most interesting options to me. I love both source material but guessing robocop is a longer game

@QualityGeezer What you in the mood for, shooting scum so that their heads explode or a narrative driven game where the chocies you make don't really make that much of a difference?

@JohnnyShoulder that's my worry telltale games are so hit and miss some are great some are boring, might be better off with robocop but I do love the expanse

@roe Looks like a good opportunity to resell it and buy a Pro!

How does the situation with PS5 disc drives look where you live? Here they're still out of stock and scalpers offer them for as much as (the equivalent of) $300. Also a lot of obviously scam offers appear on the internet. I wonder if it will be even possible to buy the drive before the release of Pro.

@Th3solution I was thinking to fool myself into using it as an excuse to upgrade 😂

@roe That’s what I did for PS3 — when my launch “phat” George Foreman grill PS3 started struggling, as soon as I got it working again I immediately took it into a GameStop to sell it before it died again and I flipped it for a new slim model (which I still have and still works fine). Actually I did the same for my PS2, as I recall. My OG PS2 died and I traded it for a slim which I think still works… it’s in a box somewhere. 😅 The other two consoles — PS1 and PS4, I never upgraded and both limped along at the end of the generation. PS1 had to be played upside-down (anyone remember that!? 😂) and the PS4 is working but the WiFi/Bluetooth antenna is finicky and I can’t be connected to the internet and to the controller at the same time 😅.

These console just don’t last forever.

...wow. When you put stuff side by side like this, it's hard to ignore. Team Asobi really just took their favorite bits of various Nintendo games and stuffed them into one game, huh?

That's not a criticism, by the way. Stealing from the best is how the industry moves forward.

Sony either needs to port this to PC or release more PS5 exclusive games I can't play on PC, because I really don't want to have to get a console for one game, but I really want to play this.

@Ralizah you’re likely aware of this discussion not being new, you’re also equally aware of twitter idiots completely derailing it and not letting it breath in any way
This video is a far better way of presenting the discourse in a way that invites discussion rather than war. Fun watch! Thanks for the link!

The sunshine ones were really blatant for me because… im one of the sad sods who likes the game
Yeah I don’t have a ps5 so I hope I can play this on my steam deck eventually

@Yousef- I don't see a reason to war about it. The influence is pretty blatant, but that doesn't mean the game isn't still excellent.

Nah, I love Sunshine as well. Actually 100%ed it on Switch again when the 3D All-Stars Collection came out.

It's unpolished compared to other 3D Marios, but it's also very charming.

People borrow, take inspiration from and itterate on what came before all the time.

I don't know why it's a point of discussion every time it happens. Nintendo themselves have done it.

Don't understand the Twitter wars one bit

@QualityGeezer Might be a bit late, but I would advise against The Expanse in this case. It's not bad necessarily, but it's quite forgettable and incredibly short. I don't think being a fan of the source material will enhance the experience much for you either since it's very much its own story and based on Drummer's TV character. If you have an equal amount of interest in RoboCop, I'd definitely say go for that one first. Expanse is worth picking up on sale when it's quite cheap, though I haven't personally played the Avasarala DLC which I imagine might be a lot of fun.
