As others have said, that was quite possibly the best State of Play ever. So well done, it raises the bar for future ones.
Also, like others have said, I'm not much of a racing simulator guy, but even I'm interested in the game now too. I was going to largely ignore it as I haven't played a GT game seriously since back on the PS1, which was a big reason why I bought the system. I played GT5 some according to my trophy list, but skipped 6 because I prefer arcade racers. Yes, it's partially because I'm not that good, but there's a lot of time that has to be invested as well. Still, after finally watching the State of Play this morning, I am considering a purchase. It looks amazing.

@AdamNovice There was quite a bit before I noticed, with a stuff like 'how can you spend 30 minutes just watching cars go round a track'. But yeah I too was surprised of how much positivity there was.
I'm sure that will soon be correct in the next 24 hours. Probably something NFT related lol.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
I finally got chance to watch the SoP and I agree with what others have said, a really good SoP and shows off GT7 at its best. The game looks truly amazing and the sound was pretty tight too just listening to the video with headphones. Loving the look of the weather simulation. I'm still on the fence about buying the game as it still looks a bit too serious for me but I'll perhaps see nearer the time.
@velio84 I understand that in that mode you put the car in a number of locations outside of the actual racing tracks. Do you know if those are renders or actual photography or something? Because they looked kinda real
The microtransactions weren't live during the review process. I assume they will be available on Friday at launch. I wouldn't say I had any issues sourcing credits to buy cars and upgrade parts, however.
@velio84@Th3solution@Voltan That sucks somewhat, especially as it's a full priced release. Hopefully it's not too grindy as I'd hate it if they'd done that just to push you down the route of having to buy credits. To be fair though I've played two racing games recently, Wreckfest and Dirt 5, both of which had a similar thing and I haven't felt I needed to buy anything additional to what I unlocked in game.
