Where Are All Apes on the Loose Collectibles in Astro Bot?

Below, we have a walkthrough of Apes on the Loose, showing you where to find all the collectibles throughout this Astro Bot level, roughly in the order you should find them.

Bot #1: Nervous Ape

  • After gaining the net, the level has you catching monkey Bots, Ape Escape style.
  • The first is on the main path, in a circular courtyard with bushes around the sides.

Bot #2: Natural Ape

  • After ascending the wall you can walk on, this Bot is straight ahead.
  • It will run around the central structure.

Bot #3: Cheeky Ape

  • In this same area, you can find this Bot over to the left, by a water fountain.

Puzzle Piece #1

  • Above this same water fountain is the first Puzzle Piece.
  • Use the water to float up and collect it.

Bot #4: Aerial Ape

  • Head forward from the water fountain and destroy the slime enemy.
  • Beneath it is a wire to pull — this equips you with a stick of dynamite.
  • Throw the dynamite at the UFO circling the rock.
  • Doing so releases this Bot.

Bot #5: Crazy Ape

  • Forward from here is a square grid with bushes inside.
  • Use the radar with L2 to locate the hiding Bot.

Puzzle Piece #2

  • Around to the right is a slime enemy guarding a ladder up to a new platform.
  • Ascend the ladder and Bot #6 will run across the glass.
  • On the glass is this Puzzle Piece.

Bot #6: Sky-Walking Ape

  • After collecting Puzzle Piece #2, simply continue forward to catch this Bot.

Puzzle Piece #3

  • Back at the main plaza, head left to find this Puzzle Piece under a triangular structure.
  • Use the nearby trampoline to bounce up, kill the slime, and under it is a flower power-up.
  • Use this to float to the triangular platform, and drop down to get the Puzzle Piece.

Bot #7: Self-Aware Ape

  • Head back up onto the triangular structure.
  • This Bot will run around the three paths.

Bot #8: Goofy Ape

  • Further along is a platform with a slope bearing downward arrows.
  • Hop up the platforms on the right and this Bot will go down the slope and run around nearby.

Bot #9: Shy Ape

  • Next you'll see a pile of cement with banana crates around.
  • Smash the banana crate in the middle to reveal the Bot, which will then run around the circle.

Bot #10: Specter

  • By this point, the central statue will have descended.
  • Approach it and hop on the rail to grind up the statue.
  • Defeat Specter's enemy waves, then throw dynamite at him to get him down.
  • Catch him with the net.
